problems with commands

Hello everyone, I have a question about the game, which are 2, the first is how I get on the companion at hand, it doesn't give me any option having lands to spare and so on, and the second is when I have excess mana, it doesn't let me use it for throw anything.
What are the commands that I have to activate or deactivate from the options? Thank you
