I've tried to install XMage today
by Whoseeps57 » 21 May 2025, 07:35
Hey,
I've tried to install XMage today and I'm having a problem for a couple of hours now.
Everytime I open the XMage Launcher, it just flashes a CMD Prompt and then nothing happens.
I've been trying to fix this problem for pretty long now, but I can't seem to fix it.
Thanks for your help.

Install Java correctly: XMage needs Java 8. Check with the command java -version in CMD. If not, download it from java. com.
Run the .jar file instead of .exe: Open CMD, go to the XMage folder and run:
java -jar XMageLauncher-*. jar
Run with admin rights: Right click → Run as Administrator.
Reload XMage: Delete the old version, download the new one from xmage.de.
