This is intended. The triggered ability should be resolved even if Heliod's Emissary is killed after attack is announced.

As Seeds said, that is correct behaviour of MAGE. Here's the rule for this:seedds wrote:This is intended. 112.7. The source of an ability is the object that generated it. The source of an activated ability on the stack is the object whose ability was activated. The source of a triggered ability (other than a delayed triggered ability) on the stack, or one that has triggered and is waiting to be put on the stack, is the object whose ability triggered. To determine the source of a delayed triggered ability, see rules 603.7df.
112.7a Once activated or triggered, an ability exists on the stack independently of its source. Destruction or removal of the source after that time wont affect the ability. Note that some abilities cause a source to do something (for example, "Prodigal Pyromancer deals 1 damage to target creature or player") rather than the ability doing anything directly. In these cases, any activated or triggered ability that references information about the source because the effect needs to be divided checks that information when the ability is put onto the stack. Otherwise, it will check that information when it resolves. In both instances, if the source is no longer in the zone its expected to be in at that time, its last known information is used. The source can still perform the action even though it no longer exists.

Hello, yesterday i had a problem with Purphoros's Emissary, my enemy casted Culling Mark on my creature and then attacked with Purphoro's Emissary, Mage didn't let me defend or not defend i got stuck there and i couldn't do anything, if i try to pass i get a message saying my creature needs to block if i try to block it cancels the block because Emissary can't be blocked and ask me to assign blockers again..

Thanks for the reply. Any idea which folders I need to adjust the permissions to? I'm assuming the "lib" folder is the important one, but I'm not sure...
My first assumption would be that the file permission of MAGE is not set correctly to run on mac os. I know that a similar problem does/did exist for linux systems.
So I would first trying to give the application folder and/or files more permissions to check if there is a permission problem. I have no experience on mac os, so I'm not able to tell you what exactly to do for this check.
Also a good idea would be to show the java console while trying to start mage (java settings)and post the complete error log. There should be also a "caused by" info, that shows more in detail what's the reason for your problem.
As for posting an error log, I tried posting something but the forum gives me an error saying my post looks "too spammy" for a new user. Any suggestions?

The problem is most probably your connection to the public server
Go to a dos box and enter a tracert to the MAGE server
