Cant Open mage, error message prompt.

Postby BoneSAW » 04 Jul 2013, 18:50

I am trying to open mage and when i do i get the following error message

"windows cannot find 'javaw' make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

I have ensured my java is updated, uninstalled, re-installed and restarted. any help would be great.

Thanks

Probably you didn't set the JAVA_HOME variable.

Which java version (JRE JDK) did you install?

i currently have jre7 installed and am running on the Vista OS 64 bit.

i tried the fix you suggested with the correct path finding the file in my computer folders and from adapting from the prompts on the examples from the site. of course changing jre6 to jre7 as im running jre7. sadly it did not work :(

I guess you use startClient.bat or startClientWin7.bat to start the client.
Check that the pathes used there for JRE correspond to the path you installed JRE on your system.
