Card scaling factor and thumbnail resolution

Postby Noobshock » 21 Aug 2013, 13:26

card-scaling-factor=0.6
card-scaling-factor-enlarged=0.7
hand-scaling-factor=1.3
I find when I increase the size from the default setting, it makes the small scale art all pixelated, probably because the thumbnail generation, which I'm assuming is the resource here, still generates very low res thumbnails regardless of the scaling factor.

Is it possible to modify the thumbnail resolution somehow?

Thank you!

Delete files matching this pattern: *.thumb.zip
If the thumbs are already generated they won't be generated again.

So what you're saying is the thumbnail resolution is actually affected by these values? I'm pretty sure I tried what you just said and the thumbnails that were generated after were the same size as usual.

Yeah just tried again and changing the card scaling factor settings does not affect the thumbnail generation, they are still 102x146

This:

is what happens after deleting the thumbnails and generating them again with the scaling values of the first post. As you can see the result looks bad. The thumbnail resolution seems to be unaffected by the config setting, it remains 102x146

For the record, this is what happens when I try to draft with increased card scaling settings:

As you can see the third row is hidden and is coded to appear under rather than use the space on the right :(

So if you make it possible to use larger thumbnails in the future, which I hope, remember to tweak the draft UI a bit so it's not a wasted effort.
