Guide to Install and play with XMage

Same problem as Mangosteen1, I'm glad he posted this because I thought I was the only one having this issue:

When I try and open the .jar file on mac, a java program starts and shows up on my dock, but nothing happens. I've tried to unzip it and can't find anything relating to any of the instructions on here. I have all the java stuff and have hit a wall. Please please please someone help me out with this, I just want to get it running on my mac. I've tried the app version posted on here as well and that doesn't work either.

Have used xmage on mac since 2016, haven't had an issue since i downloaded Macs Big Sur OS.

When I extract the ZIP file, a files folder is created and not a java executable program. How can I solve this?
