Bug Reports 1.3.0 dev 2014-05-10

If you have encountered any problems while using XMage 1.3.0 dev 2014-05-10, you can post them here.
Please mention who you were playing against: Human or the AI type.
Please describe how you got to that point. A screenshot of the battlefield at the moment something went wrong will be useful too. Otherwise, naming the cards that interacted will suffice.
If you get an error log please add that too.

Thank you for your help in detecting bugs.


FIXES ALREADY DONE BUT NOT INSTALLED/RELEASED
* P/T defining static abilities - Fixed for the still not fixed cards (e.g. Traproot Kamit) hat the P/T is also set for the card if it's not a permanent.
* Filter Lands - Fixed 6 filter lands (e.g. Flooded Grove ) that used always only colorless mana if possible when used during spell casting. Now the ability chooser is shown to select the desired mana combination ability.
* Fixed that if a creature get attached to an object (e.g. because equipment becomes a creature), it gets unattached.
* Fixed a bug that effects where applied to early and often (e.g. dying creature during combat damage step raised Nighthowler's toughness, so he survived lethal damage).
* Fix for mulligan process to be according to the rules (rule 103.4).
* AI Player - Fixed a bug that AI did not care about existing filter criterias for choosing cards from own hand.
* Hideaway - Fixed that the hidden card stayed wrongly in face down state as it was played.
* Fixed some game locking loops if a player concedes while resolving an effect (e.g. Scry, Discard). Some changes to game log for info about moving cards to library.
* Flashback - Fixed that cost midification effects was applied twice.
* Table / Games list - Selecting watch game for an already watched game brings the panel of the watched game to front.
* Face down cards use now the cardback image.
* Tournament handling - Fixed player handling for swiss tournament. No more quit sound or wrong state if player already finished the tournament correctly.
* Theros block format - Fixed wrong set code for Journey into Nyx.
* Client - fixed wrong borders on some of the client menu bar items at the top of the window.


* Arrow Volley Trap - Fixed missing word in tooltip text.
* Bloodcrazed Hoplite - Fixed his second ability that did not work.
* Borrowing 100,000 Arrows - Fixed an exception bug if card drawing effect was applied.
* Daring Thief - Fixed a bug that caused a java exception.
* Flamespeaker's Will - Fixed that the Flamespeaker's Will was not sacrificed and that the decision was not made during resolution.
* Gomazoa - Fixed that library of Gomazoa's owner was not shuffled.
* Hidden Strings - Simpified Tap/Untap effect only asking for the possible effect.
* Jace, the Mind Sculptor - Added log info messages about cards moved between zones.
* Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer - Fixed that his boost ability did not work for Jor Kadeen itself.
* Kabira Evangel - Fixed that triggered ability also triggered from Allies not controlled by the controller of Kabira Evangel.
* Progenitor Mimic - Fixed a bug that the every turn created token did not trigger "enters the battlefield" tiggers that checked for specific attributes. Added Test for that.
* Rise of Eagles - Added missing enchantment card type to the created bird tokens.
* Sage of Hours - Fixed a bug that the number of extra turns was not calulated correctly.
* Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas - Fixed that the second ability did overwrite all already existing abilities of the target artifact.


Fixed in version 2014-05-10v2 - Released 2014-05-18
* P/T defining static abilities - Fixed that the P/T is also set for the card if it's not a permanent (e.g. fixes that targeting a Nighmare with Margue Burst did always no damage).

* Eidolon of Rhetoric - Fixed not working cast restriction.
* Iroas, God of Victory - Fixed a bug that all damage to controlled creatures was prevented instead only to attacking creatures you control.
* Grand Abolisher - Fixed missing tooltip text.
* Venser, Shaper Savant - Fixed a bug that only creatures instead of all permanents could be targeted.

Cannot connect to the server 176.31.186.181 port 17171. Is it actual now?

Iroas prevents damage to a creature even if it is not attacking.

The game treats all cards with * in power/toughness as 0 and a modifier (for example, Nightmare's power and toughness are each equal to the number of Swamps you control. It's not a 0/0 with "This gets +1/+1 for each swamp you control". Other affected creatures include Pack Rat, Spellheart Chimera, Wayfaring Temple, Squelching Leeches, ...) which is relevant for effects that care about power/toughness of a card, like Essence Backlash and Morgue Burst.

Grand Abolisher on the stack has no ability in tooltip.

A.I. used Aether Vial to on 3 counters to put Batterskull into play. As usual not tried this as a player to see if they can do it too.

Eidolon of Rhetoric ability doesnt work. From logs:

1:21 PM Turn 5 LoneReaper (13 - 18)
1:22 PM LoneReaper casts Eidolon of Rhetoric

then, Eidolon is still on the table:

I cast Show and Tell a.i. puts Swords to Plowshares onto the battlefield as usual no idea if players can pick weird things.

Too bad you don't have a screenshot. The code for Show and Tell looks okay to me.

When Goblin Guide attack Liliana of the Veil (or any walker?), "reveal card" ability dont trigger.

I and a friend are unable to see each other in the player list. We also can't see ourselves in the player list. Games that he and I create are not added to the game listings, almost as if its completely stuck in place.

We can see each other chat though.

Server was in a not healthy state.
Restarted the server now.

When i tap Darkslick Shores for mana, it can produce only black or colorless. I was on the play, nothing else in play. Darkslick Shoresworked fine in this release before, so I guess something is wrong with server?

Edit: Same happens with Watery Grave. Downloading Mage again didn't help.

It's for sure a problem of the server. Seems like all blue mana sources that use the basic class BlueManaAbility don't work then anymore. I did now a check with Sunken Ruins (that doesn't use this class) on the public server and it did still produce blue mana.

I restarted the server now, that will fix the problem.

I guess there is a specific action (using a specific card in a specific way) that causes this problem on the server. In the past this also happened for mana of other colors (white I can remember). So it's not specific problem for blue.
It feels like a problem with a static object. I'll investigate.
