If you have encountered any problems while using XMage 1.3.0 dev 2015-02-07, you can post them here.
Please mention who you were playing against: Human or the AI type.
Please describe how you got to that point. A screenshot of the battlefield at the moment something went wrong will be useful too. Otherwise, naming the cards that interacted will suffice. If you get an error log please add that too.

Known Issues

Fixed with XMage1.3dev2014-03-14v1
* Fixed a bug that replacemet effects did not work if the source object of the replacemet effect also changed zone.
* Storm counter - Moved the counter to hot key area to prevent area movement for small screen resolutions. Added an option in preferences to switch counter on/off.
* Storm - Fixed a bug that the number of copies for storm were calculated wrong if a card was cast multiple times in one turn (e.g. by Yawgmoth's Will).
* Bestow - Fixed handling of Bestow that left the bestow creature as ara on the battlefield after the enchanted creature died.
* Cascade - Fixed a bug that caused the controlling player to lose the game if all cards of the library were exiled with cascade although the cards were returned to library.
* Fixed a bug that could cause endless loop of applying replacement/prevention effects (e.g. prevent effect of Hedron-Field Purists) locking the UI.
* Suspend - Removed the use prompt for suspend spells that can't be cast without suspend (e.g. Ancestral Vision) because mana payment can't be undone at this point anyway.
* Convoke - Fixed a bug that for convoke was wrongly checked that a creature has to be in the graveyard of the controller.
* Fixed that manifested card wrongly went to exile face down.
* Fixed that exile costs were not applied if the exiled creature was not moved to the exile zone because of (e.g. commander) replacement effect. Exile costs are considered as paid now (117.11).
* AEtherspouts - Fixed a bug that could lead to endless loop if player left during resolution.
* Bant Charm - Fixed missing null pointer check.
* Epochrasite - Fixed the not working suspend handling.

Fixed a bug of attack restriction effect that did not allow to attack even if the needed condition was fulfilled (Dandan, Godhunter Octopus, Serpent of the Endless Sea, Sea Serpent, Pirate Ship, Whimwader, Sea Monster, Dreamwinder, Sealock Monster).
* Holiday Cube 2014 - Removed additional blank in the name of "Hero of Oxid Ridge" that prevented the use of this card in the cube.
* Reworked Delve and Convoke to be more rule conform.
* Fixed that commander mana sources could not produce mana where the symbols were only included in the rule text (Command Tower, Commanders Sphere, Opal Palace).
* 5 Primordial cards (e.g. Diluvian Primordial) - Fixed a bug that it only was able to cast a card from one opponent (last handled) in a multiplayer game.
* Miracle - Fixed that the Miracle ability was also checked for inital card draw.
* Bestow - Fixed that the converted mana costs were calculated from the bestow costs instead of the base cost of the spell (concerns also Overload ability).

I'm getting the following when I start and attempt to connect to the server in the new version.
Keeps telling me it is expecting the old version.

Maybe kill the server process in the process list or restart your system to check it out.

I resolved this issue by restarting, deleting everything, and downloading again...but I'm not sure that is the way this issue should be resolved.

Had the same issue initially, but as LevelX states, it is just a copy of the old server running. Kill any "java.exe" processes (or as you did, reboot) to ensure it is dead.
You can confirm this is the case in the server window - you will get an exception along the lines of 'Unable to bind port', which indicates the old server is still running.

I got the same error message after downloading the patch. I've tried to remove everything and re-download the java but still doesn't work

this is my first time with this program and i can't get it to run, same error as the other guys, sure would be nice to use this over cockatrice

I just updated xmage to 2015-02-07 and experienced the same malfunction of it expecting the old server (2014-11-29). I went into processes and deleted all "java.exe" processes and restarted my computer and delted all data then reinstalled it all with no change. OS: Windows 7 64bit

While playing the AI I had put out Opalescence and Parallax Wave. With proper ordering of the stack I should be able to permanently exile all my opponents creatures. This does not happen
The proper sequence should work as follows
-Activate wave to target exile of enemy creature(s),
-Respond and assign Parallax Wave to target its self.
-Resolve the stack, Parallax wave targets it's self for exile
-This triggers the return all exiled cards to the field effect, to the top of the stack
-Stack resolves, A "NEW unique id" parallax wave should enter the field. **this is not happening**
-The stack should finish resolution, the enemy creatures are exiled *however* the return to the battle field effect should be tied to the ORIGINAL id Parallax Wave and thus will never trigger as the original wave no longer exists) **this doesn't happen, as the "NEW" Parallax Wave leaves play the cards exiled with the "previous" wave are returned to the battlefield**

For both me and my opponent Islands generate colorless mana. lol
Also tropical island generates green and colorless.

Oh. Might have been. I can't tell now. It said contructed legacy but game type might have been set to commander, that would make sense

I am having the above issue that everyone else is. I have restarted my computer, deleted and re-downloaded Xmage and java, and still I cannot connect to any servers. I am running mac ios 10.10.2. It looks to me that the software(client and server) is updated but not the launcher. So the launcher is still trying to open the 0.3.0 software. The icon for the updated version still says 0.3.0 and then when you open it, that launcher also says 0.3.0.

This has been resolved, thanks.
Having the same issue with the incorrect version after update.
It seems the server is expecting the older version. That is the error I receive.
Tried all the fixes posted. Nothing has helped.
A side note: I can't connect to the american server, but I can connect to other servers.
My friend updated and has since had no problem connecting to any server.
