X-MAGE : help! cant get launcher or game to work!

ok so im having some issues with Xmage, before, i would only get this error

so i decided to delete the stuff and re install, now i ALSO get this error when i just open up the file that says start xmage, but when i open up the launcher, it says installing ect. and then gets to this

where it says xmage not found, which is really confusing, because now i cant even launch client from the launcher because the client doesnt work. I need help fixing the launcher, and fixing the error im getting. I followed the 5 easy step process and downloaded the client, and went to java website and made sure my java was up to date, then downloaded to my downloads folder. Please help! Thanks

I'm having a very similar issue on my Mac. Anyone have any ideas?

I see here two possible reasons for the problem.
1) You use the launcher in a directory where the user does not have full access to write / edit files.
2) You use the launcher in a directory that has some characters in the path (like blanks) that may cause problems.

But I guess 1) is more likely.

Try to move the launcher to another directory (maybe a directory xmage in the home directory of the user) and try again to install xmage with the launcher.
