I am also getting this issue. Tracert and pings to all the servers work just fine, I've uninstalled and reinstalled XMage, and I've tried turning off my firewall to no avail. This has been happening since the update. My friend fixed it with reinstalling but I've had no luck.

It seemed to work with no issues all weekend, then it just happened again around 10pm EST. So I am assuming this is just a normal weekday thing. I.e. where it just won't connect and then the only way to close the program is CTRL+ALT+DEL.

Again, same thing as before.

Seems like the fixes won't last - really unsure of what that could mean.

I can't seem to connect to the USA or asia servers. the euro servers seem fine.

I've also been experiencing this problem. During morning & afternoon, I've no trouble connecting to the Woogerworks server, but during night, which is when I can play, I'm totally unable. If I try to connect there it doesn't work and then trying to connect to other servers won't work either. However, I've found out that if I close the app (has to be done through Task Manager as described above) and then restart it and connect straight up to the German server, then it connects perfectly fine.

It's ok now.

I am having issues connecting now. I was able to connect fine yesterday, but today no luck. I even have my own server running and I can't connect to it.

I used the client for two weeks and yesterday night around 7 was booted and started experiencing these issues. I tried with a different computer from scratch same thing. So I thought it might be with my internet connection.

However, two of my friends also experience the same hang after hitting connect and nothing happens. I tried connecting to European servers and those work fine but US server doesn't. I didn't try Asia. No amount of reinstalling helped either. I will try again when I get back from work.

Looks like something is causing the machine to have issues in the evening. I even tried the other servers with no response.
