Collectible Card Game Headquarters

I'm spectating a game in a draft right now (MM2) and the dude has some old basic lands. I thought XMage only adds the most current set's basic lands. How is this possible?

I mean the logic is currently:
If the drafted sets have no basic lands, a set with basic lands is determined by random.

Oh, all right, so that's how it's programmed? The drafts always (100% confirmed, no doubt) use lands from the sets you're drafting? I just figured it was most-recent-set's lands, as that's what I've experienced.

Couldn't you let us choose a default set? I'd love to play with full art unhiged lands by John Avon.
