launcher won't work after recent update

does anyone have any insight into why the launcher is not working after the recent update?

if I try to launch client and server I get this error:

Error: could not open 'C:\users\michael\desktop\java\jre1.7.0_75\lib\amd64\jvm.cfg'

it is the same error for the xmage server console and the xmage client console...

thank you in advance for any assistance :)

Somehow the java installation that xmage does in its java subdirectory is currupted.
You did nothing but push the update button of the launcher?
There were no changes to your system meanwhile?

Try to delete the java dir in the xmage directory and restart the launcher to reinstall java.
After the reinstall check if there are error messages in the xmage_launcher.log in the xmage directory.
