A new version of XMage (1.4.5) was released today.

EDIT: As expected there are some problems with the new version. I reverted the woogerworks server and launcher default to 1.4.4v6 on the server. We have to check the logs messages and causing reasons first, before we update again to 1.4.5.

Download the Launcher jar from xmage.de to install and run Xmage.

If you updated to a new version and want to revert back to the previous version you can simply set your xmage home to e.g. "http://xmage.de/xmage1.4.4v6" (or similar URLs related to the release number) in the settings and restart. (Don't forget to set it back to "http://xmage.de/xmage" if you want again update to the newest version later.)

First woogerworks server is updated. If that works as expected, later xmage.de is updated.
Because of the completly new network code the client don't get a wrong version message if the new clinet tries to connect to a server running the old version.

NEW FEATURES

New network code based on netty.
We will see if that will improve network stability.
Probably there will be some problems in the first time and need for some updates.

FIXES
Fixed some problems with the selected avatar, that could cause that the avatar image was not shown and the game UI was locked.

Where do i download the newest version, the xmage.de is still downloading the 1.3.4 version...

I could be wrong, but I think you're confusing the launcher version (0.3.4) with the actual XMage version (1.4.5v0, 2015-11-21).

Either way, you can download the launcher, or the XMage files only, from this thread posted today with the most recent version: viewtopic.php?f=70&t=17901

can someone help me revert to the older version of xmage. whenever i try to launch i get a message saying "wrong client version 1.4.5v0, expecting version 1.4.4vo. I have tried the instructions above and I continue to get the same message

Okay, so the XMage client finally downloaded after 10 attempts.

Now, I own the client, but the how do I get the launcher to use it as a source? As it is, the launcher says, "xMage not found."
