Collectible Card Game Headquarters

Hello,

I have an issue with installing xmage on my second computer (win 10).
I updated java to the latest version.
Then I downloaded and installed the launcher. But when the launcher opens it shows:

Reading config from *****//xmage.de/xmage/config.json
Error reading config from *****//xmage.de/xmage/config.json
Possible causes: Site is offline or internet connection is unavailable.

When I press 'Launch Client' I get a black popup window and nothing happens.
When I press 'Update' it's telling me that the latest version is already running. And when I force the update the client doesnt respond anymore.

I also tried to download xmage 1.4.9 as a zip file and unpack it.
I am able to play the game then but I cannot find a server list or download the symbols/images.

Please help me!

p.s.: I had to change http in the post (to ****) because it wouldnt let me post...

Possible reason is that the windows firewall is not opened for Java.

This problem also occurs when the windows firewall is turned off.

What do you suggest that I can try next?

Problem solved!

I had some malware on my computer which caused the problems. The malware was called 'Relevant Knowledge'. I deleted it from the list of programs and after that I was able to download and install the client.

Next problem: I cannot download the images. It seems that others have the same problem on this forum. I did download the symbols.
