If you have encountered any problems while using XMage 1.4.15 you can post them here.
Please mention who you were playing against: Human or the AI type.
Please describe how you got to that point. A screenshot of the battlefield at the moment something went wrong will be useful too. Otherwise, naming the cards that interacted will suffice. If you get an error log please add that too. Also often does a gamelog file from the mage-client/gamelogs/ folder help to reproduce the problem.



  1. Please use a separate post for each problem/bug.
  2. Don't report here problems concerning to install, start or connect xmage. Only game related problems of using xmage.

XMage 1.4.16v0 (2016-10-08)
* Fixed a problem with transform, that could cause permanents to transform multiple times but it should only once.
* Fixed a bug that modal spells did not work correctly (fixes #2397).

* Kaho, Minamo Historian - Fixed a bug that the card could not be cast from exile (fixes #2401).
* Karn Liberated - Fixed that already dead players were again alive if Karn restarted the games.
* Nature's Way - Fixed wrong damage source.
* Noxious Gearhulk - Fixed that it could target itself.
* Sachi, Daughter of Seshiro - Fixed that the mana abaility was only given to creatures instead to all Shaman permanents (e.g. Thornbite Staff).
* Selvala, Explorer Returned - Fixed a bug that mana and life for the controller was not provided.


XMage 1.4.15v5 (2016-09-24)
* Fixed a problem when total power of creatures on board is lower than crew cost (e.g. thanks to Lillina's +1), crew ability can not be activated despite having a creature with enough power.
* Fixed a bug of the copy effect that could lead to null pointer exceptions e.g. for Permeating Mass trying to copy meanwhile removed target(fixes #2342).
* Fixed a bug that let cards disappear after moving cards from hand to library (e.g. Teferi's puzzle).
* Fixed a problem with card movement that prevented Tiny Leaders go to command zone at game start.
* Fixed some code that could produce exceptions (seen in the server logs).

* Altar of the Brood - Fixed wrong rule tool tip text.
* Demonic Pact - Fixed that the already chosen options were not correctly rollbacked.
* Era of Innovation - Fixed wrong tool tip text and that creature instead of Artificer were selected.
* Inventor's Goggle - Fixed that it was triggering for opponent's creatures. It shouldn't.
* Lightmine Field - Fixed that the damge done was not preventable.
* Multiform Wonder - Fixed the nor working boost effect.
* Myojin of Life's Web - Fixed the put from hand to battlefield effect.
* Panharmonicon - Fixed triggering for non-permanents and for for opponents abilities..
* Reconnaissance - Fixed tool tip text.
* Selvala, Heart of the Wilds - Fixed tool tip text.
* Selvala, Heart of the Wilds - Added the missing {G} cost for the mana ability.
* Sequestered Stash - Fixed that the return to library effect was wrongly targeted.
* Shaman of the Great Hunt - Fixed that it triggerd also for other players.
* Spark of Creativity - Fixed the missing target definition.
* Subtle Strike - Fixed that it was not possible to choose two different targets.
* Terastodon - Fixed that the tokens were not put to battlefield.

* Fixed wrong Kaladesh Forst card id, that caused wrong basic lands in created decks.

* Eddytrail Hawk - Fixed that instead of flying wrongly indestructible was given.
* Eddytrail Hawk - Fixed that the triggered ability was not optional.
* Janjeet Sentry - Fixed the missing target of the activated ability.
* Nature's Way - Fixed that the damage was not dealt.
* Ninth Bridge Patrol - Fixed a bug.
* Paradoxical Outcome - Fixed wrong tool tip text.
* Renegade Freighter - Fixed the missing crew ability and the rules text.
* Revolutionary Rebuff - Fixed that the ommit of artifact spells did not work.
* Select for Inspection - Fixed wrong casting costs.
* Slayer’s Cleaver - Fixed that the block requirement did not work correctly (at least improved handling).
* Start Your Engines - Fixed that the second effect did not work for vehicles animated by the first effect.
* Take Down - Fixed that the first mode could also target creatures without flying.

XMage 1.4.15v3 (2016-09-18)
* Gonti, Lord of Luxury - Fixed a endless loop error (that killed the server after a short time).
* Glimmer of Genius - Fixed the missing Instant card type.

XMage 1.4.15v2 (2016-09-17)
* Fixed a bug of Fate Reforged booster generation adding wrong rarities.
* Fixed a bug in the random handling that produced the same boosters or random sequences.
* Fixed a bug that prevented moving tokens to other zones in some cases.
* Flashback - Fixed handling of combined flashback costs (e.g. Deep Analysis).

Idle time out (10 minutes inactivity loss) doesnt work anymore.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!! DISRUPTS TOURNEYS GREATLY!!!!

LevelX: Was not able to reproduce that. What kind of tourney was it?

UH OH...
This is kind of another "slightly important" bug...

In 2 matches i've played i kept getting the same hand, in g1 and g2... and happens the same to my opp!!! also after mulliganing!!!

And now someone in the chat room complains of the same... so i guess that needs fix. :9

A few times I have had trouble with Karador, Ghost Cheiftain in Commander. The first time he dies his recast cost will be bugged out. I will have 10+ creatures in my graveyard and he will cost a weird number like 62WGB. It's happened a few times.

LevelX: Was not able to reproduce the problem. Any special other cards in play?

I currently have four coloured "Mage Loading..." title frozen on my desktop I have been ifddling with it and have yet to find a way to remove it. Any tips for me?

Chandra, Torch of Defiance has last ability setted on -6 when it is -7.

In an EDH game I cast Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge from my commander zone using mana from a Generator Servant in order to give it haste for the turn. One of the cards exiled from Jeleva's effect was Empty the Warrens.

Got an error when trying to cast Empty the Warrens when attacking with Jeleva which rolled back the turn, error kept happening whenever this spell was attempted to be cast with Jeleva.

LevelX: I was not able to reproduce the problem. The error message would help.

I just played 2 sealed matches... and got the same pool both times... i will play another just to make sure, but that is annoying :(

I open same boosters all the time when i make sealed tournament. (I am choosing same boosters from same sets each time.)

Please fix this.

I have 1.4.15v1

Deck builder does not show me the number of instants, sorceries, enchantments and artifacts that i have in that deck. It only shows me the number of lands and creatures. This is also same in tournaments, while you are building your deck (Bottom window). This was a useful function that i and i assume so many players were using. Please bring it back!

I played two games of Momir Basic on the xmage.de server today that spawned the same creatures in the first turns. While this is theoretically possible, it's extremely unlikely.

My 2 drop: Jhoira's Timebug
Their 3 drop: Ohran Viper
My 3 drop: Nezumi Ronin

After that my opponent got a UI bug and couldn't use Momir's ability for a couple turns. After that the creatures we got were different than in the earlier game.

Edit: The same happened today (1 day later). The randomizer is bugged. People in chat also said that the boosters in Draft aren't random.

Edit2: It's not limited to the EU server, also happens on the US server. It's the same in game 2 of a match, it will just give the same creatures.

Just wanted to report a bug. I was playing a game of Modern and had just ult-ed Tamiyo, Field Researcher, which should allow me to cast nonland cards without paying there mana cost. However after using Coax from the Blind Eternities to grab Kozilek, the Great Distortion from my sideboard. It was still asking me to pay two colorless mana.
