It seems everytime I get to 7/8 of the way threw ( about at the check for updates box) the progress it just resets and it still thinks i did not update

basicly meaning it keeps reseting everytime i try to update the ting

for now use the Startmage windows batch file to get in

how does one do that?

I have the same problem. No matter how many times a update xmage, I dont have the latest version. It says xmage cannot be found. How do I fix this?

Very simple

There's a file called Xmage that came with the download. (When you first got the program.) it's step one of getting to the images section.

But when you download manually from right here it will have all of those things.
Copy the files to where the images are and it will know it's the new version. Futhurmore to not mess up your image work.

Thanks for the help, I tried your suggestion to manualy run xmage. All I get is a breif flash of the xmage logo then nothing. I am on win 10 does this make sense to you?
