Cannot connect to Xmage

Cannot connect to Xmage

I get dropped frequently and cannot reconnect. The console shows a fatal communication error:
=>[pool-1-thread-1] Sessionlmpl.handleThrowable
java.lang.NullPointerException
I have up to date Java, and my firewall is off. Any ideas?
