Setting up a Server with no GUI

Does anyone know how to setup a server from scratch on a system in text mode?
I've downloaded the launcher, unpacked it and don't see anything to setup.
Trying to use java to open the launcher with cli gives me a DPI error which I'm assuming is a problem with not having Gnome or any GUI installed.
Running openSUSE Leap 42.2 in server mode
Using Java openJDK 1.8.0_121
