XMAGE.DE user db reset - you have to register your acount ag

There happened an unclear problem with user db.
I don't understand the reason for the problem.


As I anyway intended to clean up user master data and saved records per user it's a good opportunity to restart xmage.de with an cleared database.


So you need to register your account again and start with new stats.

l tried, but l get no registration confirmation mail, although it says it has send one.

I registered, but it tells me it can't connect. And if I try a second time it tells me to register. Even though I already did this morning

Same problem for me. I neither recieve the confirmation mail nor can I log in (can't connect to the server / wrong username or PW)

Auth token isn't sent as well over password recovery (not in mail- nor spam- folder).

Same problem for me; I registered as Heris but I never received the confirmation mail, I also checked the spam folder. I tried to register again but I got a message that User name "Heris" is already in use.

I registered again and am on the server now, not many people on it as I imagine lots aren't sure what's happened.

the email takes 5/6 hours to come through so you should get it later

Re-registered earlier today, got mail confirmation, but initial generated password doesn't work, cannot auth on the server. Username: Vitalidze

Aren't there backups? Even if they're weeks old it's better than a wipe. I understand it's a free service and there's some expectation of dealing with problems and issues, but losing potentially thousands of games worth of ratings and evidence of behavior etc. is totally not OK. Our accounts are the only thing that represent the time we've dedicated to the game, and mine matters to me (as I assume it does to others). To hear, "There were unknown problems, ehhh, I wanted to wipe it anyways" is really sad.

Yeah I have the same problem. No registration email issued (it's been 36 hours now), attempts to login either totally fail or ask me to register. Registration requires an email, and the email never gets issued...

EDIT: okay it works now. Must've been real messed up this morning.

Hm. While I've still been having trouble signing onto vaporwave (akin to the troubles others are talking about with .de), I thankfully had no problem registering a "new" user with .de & jumping right on (sent the authorization token to my e-mail within minutes, it worked (a bit slowly), got in & everything seems back to normal.

I agree with Clueless, though perhaps not as strongly; it's a real shame to just wipe everything (especially without even a warning or whatever). I get that it's free, and honestly I'm such an infrequent/poor player my "record" isn't really worth saving but "Number of Games" kinda is, in a 'historicity' kinda way... And it wouldn't be so important except insofar as there are individuals who use the rating/leveling system to exclude others (whether righteously or not). How many times have I seen "Draft (+1400)" or whatever...

However, bottom line is, Xmage is free MtG & it's working for me so I'm grateful. You guys do great work for free & I hope you will continue. Thanks!

Hi,

I have tried to register again after the server clean up on DE. It does not work trouble shooting performed:

1. Sent new password request (does not work) checked spam folder.
2. Tried to reg for alternative server & connect (says server is down).
3. Re-installed Xmage (same results as above).

Given the below people are having the same issues, has this been recognised as an bug by Xmage & if so is there an update on the fix please?
