Hey guys, returing to Xmage after a long hiatus and having trouble getting it to run on my computer. I have the most recent version of Java. When I download it from the button on the website it downloads it as a .jar file, and I can't seem to get it to open. It insists on opening an explorer window and ends up in an endless loop of open, save, open, save. What am I doing wrong?

To download XMage beta, start by visiting the official XMage website (xmage.de). Navigate to the "Downloads" section and look for the latest beta version. Download the installer for your operating system (Windows, Mac, or Linux). Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Make sure you have the latest version of Java installed, as XMage requires it to run. If you encounter any issues, check the site's forums or support section for troubleshooting tips. Trying to install XMage on Windows 10. I've followed the official guide but keep getting an error message saying "Failed to create directory." I've tried running the installer as administrator and checking for any antivirus conflicts, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

If the file is being opened automatically by your browser, try right-clicking the download link and select Save As to save the .jar file to a known location on your computer.

Hey guys, I'm back to Xmage after a long break and facing some issues running it on my computer. I've downloaded the latest version of Java, but when I get it from the website, it comes as a .jar file. I can't seem to open it properly—it keeps looping through the open and save prompts. By the way, if you're looking for a fun distraction, check out Funny shooter 2 while you troubleshoot. What am I missing here?
