Constant freeze on format selection

I am on a M1 Pro MBP with Java 19 and currently experiencing constant freezes while selecting a format in the new game dialog. No stacktraces or other error logs are beeing logged.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue or is it even known and there exists a workaround?
