I'm very impressed with all of the interface design of MAGE, and it is a pleasure to play. However, after about one game of playing the game slows down by a large factor and starts taking up a huge percentage of my CPU. This also happened with 0.7.4, but it might be a little less with the new version.
I'm not sure if it is relevant, but I'm using Mac OS X.

Just to give me some idea, has any one else experienced the game running along fine and then suddenly spiking in its processor usage to the point where it becomes unplayable?
Has anyone found MAGE to work fine on a Mac, making it through, say, an 8 man draft without issue?

The card production you guys have from such a small core group of devs is astounding. Thanks for all your hard work.

This game is awesomely implemented, I am very impressed overall. The key to getting it working on a Mac ended up being to allocate it more memory (it defaults to only 64 megs). Once I got it running I have not had too many problems (my dozen or so bug reports aside).

@delirimouse
The only performance issues I have encountered is having multiple deck builder windows open at a time while in a game. So never having anything else open but the game window seems to have everything run nice. Maybe its a similar issue?

Hey there, y'all. First off, I must say how impressed I am with the potential of this program. I've been waiting a long time for a fun, well-designed drafting simulator (that allows you to play the matches afterwards) and I think Mage will finally give that to me.
However, I felt I needed to register on here after reading some of delirimouse's concerns. The one thing stopping me from playing Mage (particularly the drafting) is that it slows down to tedious levels and eventually crashes every time. I can play a one-on-one with the CPU but even that takes a lot longer than it should. Now I'm not a computer expert so it may be something that is easily resolvable. My laptop isn't the best (it's good for what I need it for (and it was free...) but I am very limited when it comes to games) but I even tried on my PC - which, though a little dated, is still capable of running most modern games at a high-enough level. Is there anything anybody can suggest as I would really like to play Mage?
TL;DR: Mage crashes all the time, what can I do?

We'll try to investigate the performance deterioration in Mage.

Hey guys! Nice job on the latest version! I see that you are busy adding Innistrad to the SVN - when will the next version be out approximate?

I think we'll have ISD completely implemented by the end of this week. I would expect a release to be made really soon.

Good news!
ISD 100% implemented!
We'll need a week for other fixes we planned, then we'll release new version.
