Noob Question, Help Connecting to Local Server
by tsilver33 » 27 Sep 2011, 00:49
When trying to play offline, when I try to connect to the 'localhost' server, I get the error message "Unable to connect to server. Error setting up client lease upon performing connect."
I have zero idea how to proceed from here.
Or, if I'm being especially inept today and I don't actually have to connect to localhost to play against computers, please point me in the right direction.
Any help is appreciated. I'm really bad with computers. :/

at the moment, to play vs. computer, you have to start server first.
hope we will hide server running one day, but for now follow these steps:
1. run server from /server folder
better run using startServer.bat rather that .exe - you will be able to check in the logs that server got started
2. run client from /client folder
3. try to connect using "localhost" or "127.0.0.1"

Alright, so by leaving the startServer.bat running, I can connect locally and play computers. Thank you for you assistance.
