Compatibility of deck .dck files?

Hello,
Another newbie question:
I noticed that decks I make with Mage are saved with the .dck extension. Is this a common format used my other game clients? Or is .dck specific to Mage?
Wouldn't it be nice to have a deck format that works across different clients/engines?
Also, as a Mage user, what is a good way to keep a digital collection of cards that I have physical copies of? Should I just make a huge deck that has all my physical cards in it? Or is there a better way?
Thanks.

Hey avamk,

You should check out Magic Album, right here on CCGH.
It has everything you could ever need, to keep track of those pesky pieces of cardboard.

You can find it under "Magic: The Gathering Software".

Magic Album looks great, but unfortunately I don't have a Windows system available to run it on... that's part of why I like Mage because it is Free Software and platform independent. :)

I've added feature request to the project page. I'll take a look at it when I have time as I also started thinking over using Mage as database for storing the cards you have in real life.

Thanks for the idea.

That's great, thanks! Please let me know if there is anything I can help with, i.e. testing, etc.
