when starting new game "error joining table"

Postby msav » 17 Feb 2012, 19:34

I just installed the latest version of mage. latest version of JRE and i have tried 3 computers 2 windows7 64bit and 1 windows 7 32 bit.

all results with the same error.

How can I fix this?

I can connect and everything else seems to work fine just cant create a game, either against the computer of human vs human.

I tried copying the config.xml file from the server config folder and putting it into the client config folder.

Still the same error.

I also thought that is might not be the same problem since that thread was on a Mac and mine is windows7.

Still have not got this to work.

I messed around and got a game going by loading some.dck decks (only a few work). however the generating of decks still results in error joining table.

Hi msav,

It sounds like you are selecting the wrong deck type for generated decks. They will only work with "Limited" deck types. All other pre-constructed decks should work with this type as well.

I will make a change to force "Limited" to be the deck type anytime a generated deck is used.

Thanks,

That would be a great help to newbies who don't know what they are doing.

Like me.

I kinda figured it out after trial and error.

Also have you considered adding a undo last move when in a two player game.

I have also been experiencing lockups when starting a game, it gets stuck on where is asks if you want to take a mulligan and will not take any response. After restarting about 6 times it will eventually accept a response.
