I also have had problems with version 0.10.0. I tested this version on three machines, all with Windows 7, JRE 6.0_35.

Hs_err_pid files were not created.

No error is thrown by MAGE, just freezes, no response to clicks.

Usually I can create a game and start it. However, no more than Mulligan. Actually, No reply of confirmation from Mulligan.

You play verses the AI with local server or Human vs. Human?

Do you have also the freezes like MoonKnight said from using the deck editor or only during a match?

It's possible that the freeze is caused by a specific card. If you use a very basic deck for both players (I attached one as example) the freezes remain the same?

Have you tried ruuning Mage on a different pc? I use 4 boxes and it runs fine.

No I haven't. I don't have another PC to try it on but I just bought this laptop so its very strange.

Hi,

The case is as follows:
I had a Axebane Guardian which can produce 3 mana, and an untapped Island. And I wanted to cast Syncopate with X = 1. So I cast the Syncopate, tapped the island for U. Then I was instructed to pay X. However, on activating Axebane Guardian's ability, all three mana went to X while I wanted to spend the two mana for other use.

Is this a bug or I miss some important tips to deal with such situation?

The handling of the X costs is not according to the rules and sometimes a bit limited. For your case is currently no way to do what you intended to do. For that the handling of X costs has to be changed in MAGE. Another limitation of X costs is that cost reduction effects does also not work with it. It's on the list of things that need improvement.

Hi all,

I had the same problem where the program would freeze up. Additionally I could not start any games vs ai due to the same thing happening but I did not test vs human. I was running 64bit windows 7 and java 6 update 31 at the time. After updating to java 7 everything works fine.

Thanks very much! MAGE is a wonderful program and I really appreciate all the work that has been put into it.

I think I have found another bug.

My creature enchanted by Righteous Authority was cast Traitorous Instinct. After it was returned to me, I can draw the extra card for Righteous Authority, but the number of +1/+1 was counted according to my opponent's hand.
