Best clasic experience

So i want to play shandalar as it used to be, no new cards for player and AI. I downloaded shandalar 2012a and everything is fine except AI takes way to much time "thinking" to the point of 50% of the game is just waiting.
I tried manalink 3.0, no more waiting, but there are crap ton of new cards. I can limit sets in .ini file, for myself, but not for the opponents decks.

So what should i do?

Go to decks file of shandalar 2012a copy all decks (those are the AI decks)and overwrite the decks in same file of the file with the new cards. And play that of course. Or choose any of the old packs with decks from original game that are here, and substitute the ones AI has with those.
