Yes, I corrected it.
But the fetch lands bug still ocurrs (the program seems to be working, but the time passes and nothing happens).
So, this is the only bug so far except Brainstorm (and maybe other * cards). Sometimes when I use it, it crashes the program.
Obs: In order to the program works, I had to install it on another directory (C:\Program Files\MTG instead of C:\Program Files\MagicTG), because the standard dir "holds" the deleted files somewhere, maybe in the registry, mixing with the other update.
Thank you.

You don't click the gold section. After clicking the card as you already did, type 'y' (for "yes") to buy it or press any other key otherwise. I believe it's in the documentation -- check there first in the future.darkkbow wrote:game installed fine, but i seem to have a problem with buying cards in towns, i can click on them to view bigger text, but cannot click on the gold section to actually buy them any ideas how to fix it?

How do I get passed this?
I tried mounting both images for DoTP and SoTA but no luck...I even tried putting in my original CD from Duels of the Planeswalkers.

You must be in the wrong topic. Have you read the original post? Are you actually using the ISO that this thread is about?

Hi all
First of all i would like to thank the people for this amazing download.
I dont know if this is the right place to report bugs/probs that have to do with the cards and how they are supposed to work ingame, but ill give it a try(if there is a specific place to report, post a link. i would appreciate it)
So...During my experiments, i thought of doing a merfolk deck, so i put 2 of all the available merfolks in a deck to see/check abilities, how to work etc.
I noticed something very strange with 2 specific cards , Vodalian Knights and Gaea's Skyfolk. I had already put into play the Gaea's Skyfolk and i drew the Vodalian from library so i put him into play. For my surprise i saw that when Vodalian Knights came into play , the Gaea's Skyfolk took a +1/+1 counter
Any ideas how to solve this with the SkyMagic editor coz i didnt find any obvious value for it.( i alrdy changed some values for some goblins who didnt take the bonus from Goblin Caves, but that was easy...
)
Thx in Advance

Oh,yes...Sorry my badSonic wrote:Care to share?
I'll tell u first in what goblins i noticed this problem during playing (Besides the Goblin Caves, i noticed that these 4 Goblins dont take the bonus from Goblin Shrine either) :
1) Goblin Settler - Magic.exe ID: 1534
2) Razorfin Hunter - Magic.exe ID: 1301
3) Mogg Fanatic - Magic.exe ID: 1354
4) Goblin Rock Sled - Magic.exe ID: 937
Before we open the SkyMagic Editor, make sure u have the csv2dat.exe.Once u have it , run it. If a window blinks fast and no error message appears, thats good. In case an error appears ,this means that ur Manalink.csv might be corrupted or something else is wrong.
Ok now open the SkyMagic Editor and click the Magic.exe tab. Click on the left binoculars icon to search the ID's of these cards. Ill tell the procedure for the 1st card ( Goblin Settler). The same can be applied to the other 3 cards.
Once you typed the ID of the Goblin Settler ( 1534), double click the name in the left list so that the information will be updated in the right pane. Find the "Card SubType" field ,it should say "FF" which is the default.
Double-click inside the field or just click the "..." button at right to open the list of the available SubTypes and select the "03" value.Click "Ok" to close this window. If u did it right, the "Card SubType" field should say "03". Press "Save Record" at the bottom of this window and and click "Yes" to confirm the "Overwrite".
Last thing, press the "disk icon" to save the changes you did in the "Magic.exe" tab. Now you can close the SkyMagic editor. Go back to the folder of the game and run again the csv2dat.exe. Dont forget that step. And we are done
PS: Sorry for the long text but i tried to be as much specific as i could for ppl that are not very familiar with the Editor
PS2: About the Vodalian Knights, it seems that either his abilities work except the "First Strike". He can attack normally even if the opponent doesnt have any islands and you cant activate the "gains flying" ability either. I'll try to get into the assembly prog if i can figure out how to change the code, but this needs lots of spare time and most of all patience. I'll see what i can do and i'll keep you updated

Actually, I've been doing all the updates for the ISO on my own up till now, so I'm fairly familiar with the SkyMagic Editor. But a second pair of hands would be well appreciated.NoobWizard wrote:Oh,yes...Sorry my badSonic wrote:Care to share?![]()

Most of my contributions have been to rebuild the artwork folder and to completely remake the Manalink.csv file in Excel. The original ISO Manalink.csv had a fair amount of corrupted fields which were causing a lot of probs.
The biggest problem we've got with the ISO is the programming. I've made numerous changes to the Manalink.csv trying to fix certain cards, but without success.
Like the Vodalian Knights, the one that bugs me is Dark Ritual - It allows the AI to use the
as colorless, but not the player. And Huggybaby has reported problems with some of the Sacrifice creature cards.
I'd already thought of what you suggested with the goblin cards (but I thought I'd check first, to see if you had the same idea)
The problem comes when you look at cards like Goblin Balloon Brigade or Goblins of the Flarg, which are both also Warrior sub-types, and the Razorfin Hunter which is actually a Merfolk Goblin.
Using the sub-types directly programmed into the magic.prg only seems to allow for a single type, so cards which affect Goblin Warrior subtypes, for example, will end up ignoring any effect which acts upon the Warrior type if you set it to Goblin in the magic.prg.
If that makes sense.

Well about the corrupted fields and some incorrect values, i noticed some of them too as i viewed them through the SkyMagic Editor.
About your concern for the types and subtypes thing...I have alrdy checked that Razorfin Hunter, even if i put it as subtype "Goblin" at the "Magic.exe" tab, it continues to gain the boost from Lord of Atlantis being also "Merfolk".
Seems that it works that way.
For the cards you mentioned (Goblin Balloon Brigade and Goblins of the Flarg) even if you mentioned them as an example, i wanna tell you that they alrdy had as "Card SubType" as "Goblin" ,before i started to make the changes to the other. Actually i saw what these cards had in this field and according to them ,i changed the value to the other
Lets hop to the other subject u mentioned about the Dark Ritual. I had never experienced any probs with it. And just for test reasons, i used a "Dark Ritual" to cast an "Onulet" with success. About the Sacrifice creatures, is there any specific creature that seems to be a prob or generally the sacrifice?
Oh, and for the record i dont have a clue about assembly. I'd learnt some basics of C++ ,Pascal and Visual Basic ages ago. Cant say i remember any of them and also cant say i find assembly an attractive language
At the moment i write these lines,im trying to "assemble" the "Volarian Knights" from scatch using the tutorials from this site. Till now i made have the First strike and the IslandHome work. The tough will be to "inject" the "gains flying" ability ,possibly from Goblin Balloon Brigade.
Thats all for now. Ill write updates ...ehmm..when i have some

Actually, the whole program is a bit of a lash up. Some of the earlier cards were programmed by Mok directly into the magic.prg, before the manalink.csv file was introduced. In many cases it's hard to tell which cards are reliant on the manalink.csv values and which aren't.
The example being the DB Card Type 2 entry - I've yet to find any info on what the values relate too.
Best of luck with the programming.
Just a quickie before you pop off.
You are running the latest update for the ISO?
I'm bit flummoxed when you said you found some corrupted fields when you loaded the manalink.csv file into the editor.

Arghhh...It isnt as easy as i thought it would be in my head
I realised that it requires at least a basic level of assembly knowledge in order to make what im trying to make and it isnt only copy/paste..
Oh well...It got a bit late. Ill make 1 last cig and off to bed.
Ah..about the corrupted fields...Well i saw something like ..one name in manalink.csv and different name at magic.exe with the same ID ofc.
For example, check at Magic.exe the ID's 52 and 1239.Both are "Crystal Rod".At the "Manalink.csv, 52 refers to "Crystal Rod" and 1239 to "Isamaru, Hound of Konda"
And about the DB Card Type 2..yeah..Im struggling to figure out too what the @#%^ is. Cig done!
/me out
PS: If 061110 is the latest version ,then yes im running the latest
