No option to pay-off opponent

So I followed all the installation steps outlined here.
At first it did not work, just crashed. Then I did the D.E.P. stuff and it was running, but the face-maker did not work. So I got the exe here and it worked.

I've been playing for about an hour and not once have I had the option to pay off an opponent, vs. dueling. At first I though it might be because I did not have the gold, but even after having gold, I still don't have that option. I'm about 20 duels in.

Any thought why?

If you can't search for previous problems or read instructions for where to report bugs, you're better off using the stable version.
