n00b help? Shandalar/MWS

Look, I really don't know a lot of the intricate, or at least seemingly intricate, details of programming, installing patches, or other such things. What I DO know is that I want to give Shandalar an honest try but I am intimidated by what I have found. It is all a little overwhelming in truth, so I was wondering if someone could really give me a hand in obtaining a copy of this game I've seen and heard so much about.

Quick aside, I also don't know how to add the Zendikar Update to my MWS program. I got the file from IsoHunt but don't really know where to put it.
