Noobs needs help with Shandalar 2015 on Windows 10

Hello everyone!

I'm very, very new to this game and to this forum, apologies if my questions are silly.

I'm trying to properly install Shandalar 2015 on a freshly made Windows 10 Bootcamp Partition.

I downloaded the RAR file, unzipped it on my desktop, and clicked on Shandalar.exe.

The game starts, but changing my resolution screen, in a sort of windowed mode.
Clicking New Game, there is no character creation screen, and when I pick the starting color I get an error:

"Assertion Error
File -> D:\NewMagic\sources\sidlib\Jib.b, Line-> 315 WM_CREATE CreateDIBSection

After that the game looks weird and messed up:

What should I do?
Am I doing something wrong?

I tried to install the 2012 version (I don't really care for new cards, I never played this game before), but... same problems.

Hope someone has a solution to this!

almost the same problem here. just a different error thrown
