Sorry if I'm being obstinate, but I'm totally lost. I've been playing the classic Shandalar for the last couple weeks, and I wanted to play the version with newer cards. I remember playing a version with newer cards a couple years ago, I think it went up to Khans? So here I am, looking for a new release of this game, and I see people talking about planeswalkers, and other incredible things in the game. So, to repeat myself, where can I get the latest release of this game? Sorry if I'm asking the wrong questions.

If you are talking about the adventure part which we call shandalar I can't help you as Korath who made those releases stopped distributing them and doesn't want them to be distributed so we respect his decision. If you want more info on this: viewtopic.php?f=76&t=19626
If you are talking about the solo duels, gauntlet, etc then there is this installation available in the other - above this forum - microprose mtg forum Manalink3.0 which has cards till fate reforged:
