How can you restrict cards opponents can use?

I just started playing this game and have the latest version I could find. I want to set the game to only have cards from when I was playing. Speaking relative to "my day", I love old cards and still enjoy up until Scourge but started becoming disinterested between the Mirrodin and Kamigawa blocks and compeltely lost interest in anything after that.

So, I've edited the .ini [Sets] to
Code: Select all
Limited Edition Alpha--Scourge=enable
--=disable
but it only seems to have limited MY cards while my opponents still have all cards available. Did I edit it wrong or is there no way to set an opponent's available cards?

To limit more you have to choose AI playdecks from the original game check the iso or check the first few pages for original AI deck packs: viewtopic.php?f=76&t=5478#p71695 and substitute your Decks file with one of those otherwise you should make your own 55 decks for AI enemies with cards from the sets you like.

Would that only allow them to play the original decks that won't have as many cards even from the older sets? Or are the opponent's decks always fixed no matter which cards are added to the game?

The decks are fixed. That's why I told you that if you want to play against decks from all the sets you want you have to make them yourself.
