I want to see the image files in the original shandalar!

I have a windows 98 virtual environment and I'm playing Shandalar.
I have no problem playing, but I'm having trouble opening the .pic extension files when I want to see the internal images.
I would like to know if there is a better way to do this.

Thank you! I didn't know they managed color tones in the spr file, which confused me, but I got the image I wanted to see!
