Problem with PocketMTG on Samsung Omnia SGH-i900
by Strainer » 04 Oct 2009, 10:30
Hello there!
I'm having a problem with PocketMTG on my Windows Mobile 6.1 Samsung Omnia. I can install the program, but whenever i launch it nothing happens. It just loads for a few seconds and then doesn't start.
Could this be due to the WQVGA Resolution (400x240) of the SGH-i900?
Thanks for any help.

Very unlikely, but I'll check it out.Strainer wrote:Could this be due to the WQVGA Resolution (400x240) of the SGH-i900?
When you´re a goblin, you don´t have to step forward to be a hero -- everyone else just has to step back.

Yes, no error messages.
Whenever I try to launch the program, the loading icon appears for about 3 seconds, then nothing happens, no error messages, nothing.

Just made a test on WM6.1 240x400 emulator. Everything is ok. There's something wrong (or special) with your device.
1. Try to softreset and then run PocketMTG.
2. If you can, try to hardreset, install only PocketMTG and run it.

I also have a problem with my i900 and PocketMTG. On the other hand I am not willing to do a reset of any kind. Nor have I found a good alternative to this program.
When I try to install the installer.exe file that I downloaded from; http://www.slightlymagic.net/software/p ... ows-mobile
my phone tells me, "Error: This is not a windows mobile applocation, blah blah blah" Then it closes out.
I havent found any way around this. Help.....

Run installer on your desktop, or download cab and run it on your pda.markaford wrote:"Error: This is not a windows mobile applocation, blah blah blah"

Tried running the cab file. PMTG would open and crash immediatly saying it could not load the deck something or other. BUT I downloaded the install to my desktop on my laptop. Hooked my omnia to my laptop. Cut the program from my desktop. Pasted it to my program file folder on my storage device (phone). Opened it with my laptop but on my phones storage. Unplugged the phone. Opened PMTG from my programs list and, it crashed..... j/k!!! It worked! 3 days and I got it working with the help of Goblin Hero! Props.Goblin Hero wrote:Run installer on your desktop, or download cab and run it on your pda.
