Windows Phone 7 version ?
by alex117 » 31 Oct 2010, 08:58
Hi,
First of all, thank you for PocketMTG, it's a great ans very useful tool for Magic players
I used it often with my friens on my Window Mobile, became old since I recently buy a new Windows Phone 7.
Windows Phone 7 isn't compatible with .cab installer and need .xap instead.
Is there any way to have a future update of PocketMTG for works in Windows Phone 7 ?
Thank you.
Regards.
Alex

It's an absolutely different OS. It's incompatible with previous WM. It's impossible to use c++ for programming.alex117 wrote:Is there any way to have a future update of PocketMTG for works in Windows Phone 7 ?
Sorry, but I won't write an absolutely new program with absolutely different architecture using unfamiliar silverlight.

Hi Goblin Hero,
Thank you for your answer.
Yes I understand your point of view, and realize the important work that is need to porte a C++ software to a silverlight devellopment. Your software is in Open Source ? Maybe with community, many people can help and contribute to the portage of PocketMTG's slightly to a new Silverlight version.
Have a nice day,
Alex

Most of the PocketMTG code is for GUI. This code must be rewritten from scratch. My old code won't helpalex117 wrote:Maybe with community, many people can help and contribute to the portage of PocketMTG's slightly to a new Silverlight version.
