If you can help with testing the Mac bundle, please download 1.42 from http://melvinzh.sdf.org/Magarena-1.42.app.zip

You will need to install Oracle's Java 7 runtime from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... 80261.html. Please report your success/failure with the bundle here. Thanks!

Hello Melvin
Thanks for the updated MacOS build. Unfortunately, the launcher does not seem to work for me. It bounces for a few seconds in the dock and quits. However, I managed to launch Magarena using the Magarena command (replaced Magarena exe by Magarena jar inside the command file). Will try and test a few games and report back but so far so good. Please note that I also had to install the Java JDK. There is a similar thread about Java7 and Mac in the Forge subforums.

I've noticed that white and green Phantom cards are gone in this release, is it a choice?

Hi rdv, thanks for your help and welcome to the forum :) Good to know that using the Magarena.command file works, will fix the file to use the jar. Did the launcher pop up any dialog or error message?

I suspect that the command file could be invoked directly, I've modified the bundle to invoke command file directly without using the launcher. The modified version is at http://melvinzh.sdf.org/Magarena-1.42-RC2.app.zip I'd appreciate help to test if this fixed the launch from dock functionality.

Which cards specifically? I don't recall removing any cards, but I did update the standard and extended cube and noticed that quite a number of cards rotated out. I've also used a different method to obtain the list of cards in the cubes, so some errors might have crept in there as well.

The cards I've noticed missing are Phantom Centaur, Phantom Flock, Phantom Nantuko, Phantom Nomad, Phantom Tiger, Phantom Wurm and Phantom Nishoba.
I've noticed them because they are in one of my decks, I don't know if there are other cards missing as well, but if I am to find out, I'll notice you.

By the way, I've reworked them from my original submit, so here they are :)

I don't recall merging them, did you submit them via firemind.ch? Good that you included them here, I add them to the next release.

No, I'm sure they were not submitted through ProjectFiremind, but I cant remeber if I posted them on the forum or on google groups. However I've checked the changelogs and in fact they were not added, sorry for the mistake.

The new version launches ok (however there is a mistake in the url you pasted).
The previous version did nothing, no error message or dialog box (even when launching the application from the command line)

Thanks rdv! Nice to know that launching from dock works again, RC2 is also much simpler since we just launch the command script directly without using a Mac binary launcher. I've also fixed the URL in my earlier post.

Quick question for rdv and others who tried. Did you have to install the JDK 7 or JRE 7 worked fine?
JRE is the one linked via https://www.java.com/en/, JDK is the one on http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... index.html

JDK was required (I pointed out a similar thread in the Forge subforum in my first post)

@rdv: Thanks for the pointer to the post, I wanted to double check the result. I can confirm from my own testing that JDK is required as well. I suspect that is because the launcher invokes the java command and only the JDK changes the java command to Java 7.

Updated first post with link to final 1.42 Mac release.
