Bug reports for Magarena 1.91

Postby melvin » 28 Jan 2018, 11:50

To help us in addressing bugs, the best way is to create an issue on the issue tracker. This lets us keep track each report separately and ensures it doesn't get lost.
https://github.com/magarena/magarena/issues (requires github account)

For game play bugs, please include a gameplay report zip file. You can create a gameplay report by opening the options menu (press Esc during a duel) and selecting the "Gameplay Report" menu item.

Less preferred is to post your report in this thread. (requires forum account)

You can report anonymously via gitreports, note that name/email if provided will be listed on the issue tracker.
https://gitreports.com/issue/magarena/magarena (no sign-up required, name/email optional)

I was in need of re-downloading all the card images, and noticed that nearly every card fails with this error:
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path validation failed: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: validity check failed [3_3_white_Bird_creature_token_with_flying.jpg]

Not only the tokens, but also the other cards.
Same is true trying to download the crops.

The reason is most likely that the magiccards.info SSL cert expired yesterday and has not yet been replaced/renewed.

Hi all! It is my first post but I have been using Magarena for several years (even if somewhat irregularly). I take this opportunity to thank the devs and the numerous contributors for their work and effort. If I managed to find some spare time I would try to provide some help myself but.... :^o
This post is just to confirm Jerichopumpkin's piece of information. I have the same error, impossibility to download images. At first I suspected a security problem between Win10 and Java8 but it seems the problem is on the magiccards site. I am in fact unlucky, I had stopped playing with Magarena for two years due to lack of time, and then I decided to check what was new...
It means no newcomer can have pictures right now.
So what can be done, waiting may be an option but how long ? I have an old version of Magarena on a spare computer, can I at least recover the cards and tokens folders by direct paste ?
Again thanks for the great job done here. =D>

that one is strange: I was about to create a new combo deck based on merfolks, so to start off, I wanted each non-creature merfolk available.
Setting the filters to type = creature (exclude) + subtype = merfolk, the result only found Crib Swap form the Changeling non-creature cards, but searching type = creature (exclude) + search = "changeling", I can see that there are a bunch more...

Changeling is an ability, not all non-creature Merfolk have the Changeling ability. Merrow Commerce , Summon the School.

If you're looking for "Changeling" cards search for the Shapeshifter subtype. ;)
