making a deck

Postby reknak » 04 Jan 2011, 21:33

Hi there, first I want to say you done a great job with Magarena, looks nice and good AI! =D>

I want to create a deck, but I don't really understand how that works:

Deck Editing¶
Magarena supports loading and saving player decks in the decks folder located in the data folder. The deck files have as extension .dec and look as follows :

# some lands4 Plains4 Forest# some spells4 Watchwolf4 Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers4 Charging TrollNotice that user created deck files can have any number of cards. When the card name is not recognized, it will be ignored. The custom card shuffler is however disabled when the amount of lands and spells is not equal to 16 and 24.
, could someone clarify this a bit more to me? Which program do I need to make the deck and what do I need to exactly write in the document? Thanks for the help!

A good way to start is to let Magarena generate decks and then save it with the save deck menu option.
This will generate a .dck file with given name in the decks folder.
The decks folder is located in C:\Users\***\Magarena\decks, where *** stands for your Windows user name.
That file can be opened with any text editor. The structure is very easy.
You can now alter that and save it to another .dck file.
Now you can load this file with load deck menu option.
The deck will be loaded for the selected player.
