Hey,

I am thinking about getting an Android tablet, and just wondering whether it is possible to run Magarena on Android. I know that Android apps are java based, and there exists a converter at

What do you think? Would it be possible taking into account the screen limitations of most Android tablets, which are 800x480 upwards?

Hi benmac,

Magarena is written for Java SE or Standard Edition, what is used on desktops.
Android supports a variant of Java ME or Micro Edition, more suitable for mobile devices.
So it is not possible to play Magarena on Android without porting it.
A plain conversion tool will not work.
Maybe a Windows 7 tablet is able to run Java SE applications.

About the resolution, I would advise a display size of 1024x768 (XGA) or better.
There are no plans to make a UI for smaller resolutions.
