Very impressed with this after playing on it for just a few games!
The AI in the default settings seems to play a very competent game and even though I've only played a few games, I can already see that the AI is one of the best I've seen, & I've tried a Zillion MTG games!

Lot's of possibilities are evident. Would love to see Sealed Deck play & of course, a draft option. Also, to be able to manually advance through each phase of both player's turns, especially for the computer's turn. I'm sure these and many more additions have already been asked by those in the request thread.

The GUI is very nice & love the customization options as well.

Most of all, it's a Hell of lot 'o fun to play with!

Well done folks! :D 8)

Hey BW,

Take a look at Arena/Preferences and uncheck

Skip single option choices
Always pass during draw
Remove unusual target choices

Then I think nothing should be skipped. That's the way I play and my left and right arrow key get quite a workout.

I saw that yesterday & thought I had unchecked those, but I obviously missed that.

Thanks Huggy. Nice to see you, I've missed you my old friend! :)

I will repeat though, this is a whole bunch 'o fun to play! I'm very excited to see this continue to develop. Tremendous potential!

Thanks for the support and confidence in the project, Bog Wraith :D

We've just started some work that should pave the way to support different formats. Getting the AI to support Sealed Deck/Draft is on our radar just that we have no clue how to even get started. We are currently focused on making the card playing AI as strong as possible.

Huggybaby, Bog Wraith: Out of curiously, both of you prefer to manually advance through each phase, is there some particular reason you prefer playing this way?

It comes from times where I'd play a card during for example, the end step or during upkeep etc.

You know it's funny, alot of that comes from playing other computer AI opponent type games like the Microprose game as well as many others, but it also comes from playing the real game against live opponents. There are just alot of instances where a player can/wants to play a card that is not always in the 2 main phases of either player's turn.

As for you guys concentrating on getting the AI as good as possible, I'm all for that & certainly agree that is the place to focus on. The other features will come in time.

Based on what I've seen with the AI so far, I am very encouraged as to where it is going!

Playing Forge really made me a fan of this step process. It just allows me to digest the play and not lose track of what just happened.
