Time for a new release of Magarena We are now building releases of Magarena
using CloudBees' DEV@cloud platform, 1.22 was the first release built via Jenkin hosted on DEV@cloud.
The game now show counters for every permanent, not just for creatures, and
displays the number of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters. Thanks to the bug reports, we
have fixed the behavior of many cards so that they behave according to the
rules. We've also added 42 new cards and 8 new custom decks.
The following lists the changes found in 1.23:
- added double-clicking right mouse button in deck pane adds a copy of selected card to deck
- added drawing of counters for every permanent instead of for creatures only
- added drawing of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters in graphics mode
- changed splash screen to show on all platforms
- added saving a description to a deck
- added 8 new decks
- fixed: skip choosing of mana source when mana cost equals total amount of sources
- fixed: running the deck strength calculator updates history
- fixed: Curiosity only triggers on combat damage
- fixed: Mistbind Clique can only champion Faerie creatures instead of every Faerie subtype
- fixed: Oblivion Ring's ability can target cards that have shroud
- fixed: Blade of the Bloodchief doesn't check if it's equipped
- fixed: Dread (and other Incarnations) doesn't get reshuffled into library when milled
- fixed: when Platinum Angel is in play, reducing opponent to 0 life isn't sufficient to win the game
- fixed: Avacynian Priest can tap any non-human permanent instead of non-human creatures.
- fixed: when at exactly 1 life, shocklands come into play untapped
- fixed: Vindicate has the image of Orim's Chant
- fixed: AEther Vial and Legacy's Allure's abilities missing
- fixed: Nephalia Drownyard can tap itself for mana while using its ability

The rest of the Dark Ascension cards will be in the next release, we didn't get around to adding them all for this one. Also in the next release should be mulligan and a game log. I didn't want to add these features right before 1.23 was about to get released because that raises the chance of possible bugs substantially (as Melvin found out when some of my recent changes needed quick fixing before 1.23 could get out - thanks Melvin, I'll try to be more careful ).
Thanks goes out to Tyrael for adding new cards!
Edit:
For the brave people - A build with mulligan can be downloaded from this link. You have to replace your current Magarena.exe with this file.

If debugging is the process of removing bugs, then programming must be the process of putting them in.

THX again for this great build!
You're doing an excellent job in the best MTG there is in the market.
Keep the good work!

It is always good to see the one alternative to Forge rise.
The AI in this one is already better than the one in Forge probably ever will be, thats a big plus.
Maybe 2012 will be the year that Magarena vindicates Forge?

The ai in forge is always getting better and plus forge has more cards then magerena and plus the developers of magerena have even stated they try to only add cards the ai can play well. So its not a fair comparison

Of course everybody is entitled to have their own opinion about which MTG app they prefer, but let it be clear that we are not in competition with anyone in any way.
The more applications that are out there, the more choices for users which can only be a good thing. I personally think Forge is a great project and I do use it (although not a lot since most my free time is spend on coding for Magarena).
The beauty of free apps like these is that you can install the ones you like and play with the one that suits your mood at that time.

Excellent, a new update over the version I'm playing =) I found this program only a little bit ago so I'm playing version 1.21. It's terribly addicting ^^ It doesn't allow me to play my Gwafa Hazid the Profiteer deck (is complicated and not too powerful, but it's very fun). However, that's fine.

Welcome to the forums, FrozenDaze. I'm glad you enjoy playing Magarena.
I had a quick look at Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer and I see no reason why it can't be added so I'll do that tomorrow. I just wonder what the icon of the bribery counter will have to look like.. I guess I'll think of something
