We are proud to bring you a new release of Magarena on Earth Day. This release adds
support for mulligan and handling of last known information. We've also added
some additional keywords to our card script that lets us script most Auras.
This release includes 153 new cards and 2 new custom decks.

The following lists the changes found in 1.24:
- added mulligan
- added basic game log
- added support for using last known information
- added two decks (BU_Card_Advantage.dec and Goblin_Sacrifice_40.dec)
- added support for Bloodthirst ability
- added "enchant" property to card script
- generalized "landfall pump" ability in card script to allow different power/toughness
- added "enters with +1/+1 for each kick <mana cost>" to card script
- added support for Annihilator ability

- fixed: casting cost of Crimson Mage was , should be {R})
- fixed: automatic paying of mana cost not taking into account charge counters
- fixed: ability granted by Livewire Lash doesn't obey protection-based targeting restrictions
- fixed: wrath effects interact incorrectly with Knight Exemplar
- fixed: token getting shuffled into the library
- fixed: morbid trigger from Reaper from the Abyss doesn't target creatures you own
- fixed: copying Ravaging Riftwurm doesn't put counters on it when it enters the battlefield
- fixed: Fiend Hunters ability was not targeted
- fixed: Arcbound Overseer's upkeep trigger doesn't work
- fixed: Telim'Tor gives a bonus to every attacking creature
- fixed: Glint Hawk's ability was targeted, but it should be non targeted

Sorry for this very stupid question, but how can I access the "mulligan" option? The game simply doesn't offers to me that choice. Am I doing something wrong?

This is a very valid question, right now the mulligan can be a bit hard to find. Mulligan is disabled for decks with 40 cards, of which 16 are lands. This is the type of deck generated when you are playing with randomly generated decks based on color or theme.

Try selecting the "folder" icon which will give you a random custom deck or just create a new duel first and then go to the "Duel" menu and select "Load deck".

I can explain the reasoning behind the current mulligan implementation.

We thought about handling the mulligan issue in a different way, namely through a smart shuffle. The problem we found was that it takes away part of the challenge of constructing a good deck. You could just put a little amount of lands in a deck and the smart shuffle guarantees you won't have any mana problems. Because of that we decided that mulligan is a better option.

Since the generated decks do use a smart shuffle, the option of taking a mulligan isn't given when you use them.
