Manalink update May 2013 : Planeswalking to Modern

I you already have installed Manalink 3.0, you just have to overwrite the Program folder with the patch, do the same with CardArtManalink and just play as usual

I'm sorry, but I can't seem to get patches to apply?

I've successfully installed Manalink 3.0 and copied all of the artwork updates to the CardArt folder, the game runs fine (and seems to include most sets up to & including the Innistrad block), but I don't see any of the added cards in the deckbuilder after having downloaded the patch, opened the zip and copied/overwrote the files in the Magic folder.

I checked the directories and everything seems to be in order, but for some reason the deckbuilder isn't populated with any cards beyond what the Manalink install came with.

Is there a step I'm missing?

EDIT: If it's relevant, I'm running the game via the 'Play_Manalink' command file, not running the 'Magic' executable (Magic.exe just crashes).

EDIT 2: Nevermind, sorted. When the instructions said to copy everything into the Program folder, I assumed it just meant the folder the game was located in. Nope. There is literally a folder called 'Program' that you copy the patch files into, in case anyone was having the same difficulties as me.

How update your manalink:
first make sure what its the last patch you put in your manalink
then if you have the previous at the last patch, everything its fine.
proceed to download the patch files and the "CardArtManalink".

unzip the files of the patch and copy all the files inside the folder "Program" and overwrite.
and last unzip the CardArtManalink on a clean folder and copy all the files inside the folder "CardArtManalink" (you can find this folder inside the folder "Program")

and thats all... easy no?

Hey guys, sorry I've been MIA... Finally got a job.
As always, BIG thanks to Gargaroz and everyone who put this together. You keeping this alive is beyond awesome!
Quick question, though: Gargaroz, are Ice Age and Fallen Empires cards not allowed in the new Pre 96 challenge? Both editions were released in 95 and 94, respectively. I'm asking because I got autolose when I started the challenge until I removed the cards from those editions, since they're the ones you didn't mention in the challenge description in this thread. Thanks again!!

Generating a list from the Manalink.xls file of all the active cards in any particular expansion isn't exactly a problem - takes but a few minutes. Here's the list for the expansions in question if you need to check them.

Where's Desecration Demon?

I've noticed that with the last update my Golgari Deck was missing from the list and when I tried to rebuild it the Desecration Demon wasn't present in the cards list.

It was bugged and the bug is unfixable now, so it was removed from the available cards.

That's why you didn't find your Golgari deck in the list
