Manalink july 2013: Odyssey, then Invasion of new features !

Take about 10mins to generate a new Expansion Rarity column for the manalink file, once its established which 5 sets we can agree on using.

you talked about changing the digits to represent what sets are in. is that in a specific code in the magic.exe or somewhere else?
can I maze of ith your snowstorm?

The values in the 'Expansions Rarity' column in the manalink.xls/csv file are made up of a five digit code currently representing the sets 8th, Chronicles, 5th, 4th and Revised. Go back to the 'Sealed - possible fix' thread viewtopic.php?f=56&t=10760 for the actual specifics.

Each number in the code represents a rarity

0 - Unavailable
1 - Uncommon
5 - Common
7 - Special Chronicles
9 - Rare

So for example - 5h represents a common card in Revised. Or 9000h would be a rare in Chronicles.

To update the sealed game you actually need to reconstruct the codes in the manalink.xls/csv for the card entries you wish to include, and then recompile the card.dat file using the Magic Updater.

After installing V2 the phase description box (the one you have to click 'done' on to advance phase) text is a little to small and not as clear as it used to be. Did the font get changed?

What I meant was, use code similar to the Draft card to pick out the starters and boosters to be used in sealed deck, either generating the cards itself or using the choices to overwrite the expansion/rarity field.

I've noticed some code that seems to be AI for building decks; and I looked briefly for the booster/starter-pack generating code in response to this, but couldn't find it. It's anything but straightforward.

On the other hand, the manalink.csv column for expansion/rarity seems very likely to map directly to one of the fields in the card_ptr_t struct, or possibly card_data_t. We already know where the canonical versions of those are, so manipulating them at runtime should be feasible.

what this file do ?????

question 2:
I delete expansion symol.PIC in cardart folder to remove expansion symol from appearing in cards but the game became broke(don't work)
so how i can remove expansion symol from appearing in cards and keep the game running ????

The patch is obsolete to my knowledge and doesn't work,just a relic.
