Two things I wanted to bring up, I don't know if they've been mentioned before:

1. There's some sort of bug that I got after beating stage 8 of challenge 3 though I don't understand/think that it has anything to do with where you are at the challenge. Right before the next stage started, I got this box that said something like Challenge:20, Gauntlet: 22 and then the game got stuck. I couldn't press anything and clicking everywhere didn't help. Any ideas?

2. Thoughtseize can only target the opponent. I was playing a Reanimator deck on that challenge and winning the 8th game would have been sooooo much easier had I been able to target myself to drop Platinum Angel into my graveyard on turn 1.

Hey. I have been playing with the most current update being 7/4/09. I know at least two updates have come out since then (7/16 & 7/31) but when I inserted those updates and the newest card art packs I do not see the updated themes for the game and most times the game crashes within a few turns if not definitely at the end of each game. Is there a setting I need to change to be able to get the newest updates to work so I can do the challenges? Or am I missing some other files?

I'm running Vista 64 and have not had any problems with the updates until now. Thanks.

Regular John> Should be a false positive warning, the executable file delete some files (in launcher, the option delete draft deck) so the antivirus think it's malicious, but it should not be)

mage182 > Look at the Graphic thread stickied, 3rd post has the rest of the update.

dcelso > You can't play shandalar with all the new cards yet.

Snacko> I have the src folder in the Meddling mage fix update (last jatill's post of this thread), is it what you don't have?

And for me, after reaching in the Onslaught mode the duel with the "nearly all permanent are destroyed every turn", nothing happen when I win, the gauntlet continue up to default setting (was at 50 duel limit). Is it intended?

It is intended as cheat-prevention. Were you cheating?

You beat that? I made it to that match, but my Oath deck had no chance to win since everything was getting destroyed. I'm still scratching my head on how to beat it.

I went to the page you suggested and downloaded the art updates. I copied those files over as well as the 8/12 update. Now I can make it through the first match of the challenge. However, The game still crashes at the end of the first game no matter win or lose and the theme is still the delivered. Any ideas?

Not for this duel, all I did was being lucky the 1st time to draw 2 mox black blue for Glimpse the Unthinkable and win by AI out of library (was using default winter or deck), and the second time land+mox+diamond for a megrim (since the chain spell doesn't affect enchantment, dropped Time Walk and Thirst of Knowledge for Megrim and Meekstone).

I just wanted to know if it was a bug but it's not, well it was obvious because this challenge is supposed to be not finished yet.

The same thing happened to me, but I set it to 'ante' mode and played 4x Contract from Below in a Tendrils deck. I wasn't sure if that was considered cheating, but I sure knew it was dodgy, so I wasn't that surprised when I didn't get anything unlocked after beating Obliterate with it; same thing as you reported happened. (on the first run no less; Contract is overpowered, lol) I still haven't got past challenge 4 round 8 legitimately yet.

Thats probably due to not quitting & restarting the entire program after losing a challenge, I ran into that too a few times until Jatill reminded me of that :)
