Challenge mode is great, but it sure is brutal. I've been trying to take it on with generally strong decks, but I'm starting to think I'm going to have to really take the gloves off and start to hose its strategies.

Now I am just getting frustrated. My revised mono-white mill/moat/bridge deck is on autopilot and I am cruising through the challenge but it has crashed on me the last 3 times I have tried. Last 2 were just before winning against Elves (4 cards left) and Goblins (3 cards left).
Gah! It make-a me mad!

is there a place where we can exchange our 'brutal' decks... what crashes on 1 pc doens't mean it crashed on every pc, right?
My first challange was a walk in the park... I'm still stuck on number 10 of the 2nd challange... but it seems to be a stragegy of pure, brutal, once in a lifetime, luck!
i want 2 post my deck, but don't know if that's ok
grx

Sorry for offtopic, but could someone upload last update somewhere else than savefile.com? I get "download server is down at the moment" constantly.

Wow well I have never seen such an unfair challenge system before. I am sorry but making these best of 1 really gives all the advantage to the computer. I am a damn good magic player but this onslaught of creature decks that always seem to get ridiculous hands on top of their initial force they start with are nearly impossible to beat.
I am using some very very powerful decks that have a lot of advantage in these match ups but then you always seem to end up with a bad hand in one match up and then even a mulligan or two won't save you. I am not sure how people are beating these with any consitancy unless they are just playing through it 1000 times hoping for that string of perfect hands.

Hehe you are not alone to rage, even with a spoiler deck you can get unlucky and die a horrible and painful death but I guess that is intended.
Special game mechanic advantage and bug exploitation is what make Challenge mode, but you can retort with some "legit bugs until patched" or not so legit one, but it will ruin the fun a bit, some people were able to beat it up to 4 so it's not impossible

The first three only took me a day or two each with fairly simple decks, but Onslaught took at least a week for me, with a Tendrils deck no less. I got to the last round of #5 and... ugh. The last round is MEAN. Except for that one, it's generally easier than Onslaught, and the most frustration is on the very first match, anyway, so you don't lose more than 5 minutes if you fail.monopoman wrote:I am not sure how people are beating these with any consitancy unless they are just playing through it 1000 times hoping for that string of perfect hands.

no dude, it really is pointless. some people don't have endless hours to get lucky.stassy wrote:Hehe you are not alone to rage, even with a spoiler deck you can get unlucky and die a horrible and painful death but I guess that is intended.

How do you access the second challenge do you have to beat the sliver deck then beat other decks after in one run?
Does that mean 50 decks in a row to beat all the "challenges"?

There is a spoiler thread for the 1st 4 challenge down the stickies, people beating them shown their deck but I was able to beat Challenge one with Winder Orb deck (after lot of bad hands mysteriously the game gave me the perfect hand every time aka Black Lotus, Tabernacle, Propaganda ).
But if you really want to bypass, just use a 3rd party memory editor and cheat your way through...

Well wish someone would explain about how to access the 2nd challenge. I just beat the first one for the first time today but when i reload challenge in the game it starts off with the kobold deck again.
