Manalink Update - Nov 4th - MAJOR update

[sticky this thread please]

This update is pretty major, so here's rundown of what it includes.

-----------------

Files:
http://rapidshare.com/files/304611168/20091109.zip
and the 'Manalink Graphics Pack' from
viewtopic.php?f=55&t=1734

If you are missing card art, download the Big Collection also.

----------------

New cards:
The complete Zendikar set has been added (minus a few uncodable cards). However, it is a separate version from the main version. To switch between the normal "best of" version and the "zendikar" version, use Switcher.exe. For the art to work out right, you'll have to already have downloaded Salbei's art patch. Thanks to Triadsoul for data entering the cards, and anyone else who helped find bugs.

Also added:
Vampire Nocturnus
Knight of Reliquary
Harmonic Sliver
Virulent Sliver
Spiritmonger
Jareth, Leonine Titan

--------------------
Challenge Modes 3 and 4 added.
Check here for challenge details, including the list of unlockable cards:
http://www.slightlymagic.net/wiki/Chall ... t_unlocked:

--------------------

UI changes:
-New main screen. (if the buttons are totally messed up, again, you need to download the updated art). Art courtesy of Mathusalem.
-Made 'Solo Duel' the first option in duel screen
-Make Momir Basic, Draft, and Challenge Mode available without launcher
-Allow challenge mode to be restarted without closing program
-Show which challenge cards are already unlocked
-Add nice text for Meddling Mage + Isocron Scepter showing what text you picked
-Add Storm Counter to Rules Engine (shows as a +1/+1 counter)

So enjoy!

1. The difficulty is always set to max now.
2. Just don't check the 'challenge' box.

Can't wait to try it! Sadly, the site is now congested due to an excess of simultaneous dowloads. Anyway, congratulations for the graphic update: you really did a great thing.

Downloading!

Man, you are like some kind of God of Manalink... Future generations will remember you as the legendary human that brought the game back to life.

Thank you!

Oh, I almost forgot: Which is the difference (More than the cards) between "Best of" and "Full Zendikar" versions? I mean, can I complete Challenge mode with any of them, for example, or use the new main screen art with any of them, too? I know that you have made two versions because of the 2000 cards limit; does this means that no more cards are going to be added to the "normal" version unless the 2000 cards limit is broken?.

Basically, if you want to play limited, use the Zendikar version. Otherwise use the "best of" There are about 50 spots left in the "best of" version for new cards, but after that we're done unless the limit is broken.

1. For every valid deck it report's "invalid setting, match lost". (tried Challenge 1-1 and 2-Dude with valid decks, that worked with previous versions)
2. Sometimes unmarking challenge checkbox doesn't turn off challenge mode.

Now I see the problem. I had my 'jatill only' flag turned on. :) I'll post an update once I fix the problem.

No chance I'm afraid. Also, I can't fix the "challenge mode stays on thing" yet. To manually get out of that problem, uncheck the challenge mode checkbox, or restart the program.

This version will fix the other challenge bug. Instead of downloading, though, you could just turn off debug in config.txt.

Baloths... hmmm...the effect seems to be an easy one..couldn't it be implemented via Rules Engine that will spawn Beasts for the quantity of Baloths?

Hmm... yup! I didn't think of that.

Any chance of getting a non-rapidshare-link? I'm sharing an IP with about 250 people, so chances are slim that i'll ever get to download it there.
Can't wait to get my hands on the new version though ;)

I've reseeded on the much friendlier sharecow. This links to both of the files you will need.

kinda lost the overview
(not been playing for a while now , damn daoc...at least i got my chanter to rr9 now (uthgard) :P )

just tell me whats missing in the art pack and i´ll update it.
i remember adding some artwork for the cards you´ve mentioned in your PM. added the monger aswell like it was suggested in the artwork thread.so the artwork should be complete . big file for artwork only -> till sept 09 then simply unzip the manalink graphic pack into your game folder.

shellart is in there aswell (i´m not sure if i got the right pics for that , the topic was kinda confusing) -> updating that right now

uploaded this patch to my webspace aswell ->
http://salbei.spacequadrat.de/magic/upd ... 091104.zip

did somebody mess around with the cardbackgrounds ?
somehow i see a lot of out of place pixel , but just at green cards.i don´t remember toying around with these yet.maybe i didn´t see em earlier , but i can´t imagine that.

Image

i´ve also noticed that some artwork files are missing when you switch from zendikar to normal . let me know if you spot wrong artwork so i can fix it.
