That's intentional; it saves a card slot.

Maybe it works, but not all the time. Do I have to do anything special right before it dies? I see some counters on the Rules Engine card, but those don't do anything. It was blocked by two creatures ( a 1/2 snake and a Loadstone Golem).

valakut: it doesnt trigger twice if i have 2 of them on the battlefield

As for Valakut, is a known issue, but it's fixed to deal the correct damage in one shot. So, for instance, the Prismatic Valakut combo deck works.
Perhaps it can be done better, since I'm currently coding I'll try to adjust it better.
Explore is no big deal.
Camet Storm seems doable.
Mimic Vat is another story : it's doable, but a very pain to make.

I would have thought just the opposite... Mimit Vat would be easy, and Explore really hard Comet Storm just doesn't seem worth a slot to me.

For Explore, what about putting in play a legacy card which calls the code of Exploration and die at EOT ?
Comet Storm is a favorite of mine : it's an underrated card, OK, but in Ramp decks it's just a killer.

Oh, wait, can we make card requests in this thread? Of course, if they are easy to code

You can request your card by playing and winning a Tournament, it's in the sticked section up there.

Ah, whops, I think I messed up the "Tournament system", since I've already addede to next update (expect it on February) Explore and Mimic Vat. However, being cards heavily played in Standard, I hope this is not a problem.
