Some cards make the whole deck unavailable because their old id pinpoint to an unplayable/non coded/token card.

You should run the Playdeck Analyzer or the ID Card Changer to update them.

Thanks a bunch. The Playdeck Analyzer's slower however more efficient. Kudos for CirothUngol. Can't wait for the revised version.

What version do you have Mbewe is it Manalink 3.0 and what do you play?
It seems very strange to me as after Manalink 3.0 the game is a lot faster and I have never seen such behaviour.
Finally what is your PC ,OS?

Its 3.0, i downloaded it and instaled like it should be in link above this forum. I have all newest cards, game mechanics work fine. My cpu is 2,6 gh and i have 4 gb ram memory. Prewious version was fine, worked fast. Now i need to wait realy long for all actions, for resolving cards on stack, playing lands, after clicking atackers in combat phase, I need to wait like 30 sec titt they will be declered as chosen to atack. I thought that it was fault of many different decks with different game mechanics (cycling, echo, fading etc), so I checked that. I cleared my deck folder, and I made just one deck to play it and agaist it without cards with different mechanict (only monsters). And its still slow. After that I instaled manalink 2.0, and its fine. So I dont know what is the problem.

Im just curious if this works with multiplayer or no? Every version of Manalink 3.0 I use says opponent is out of cards and loses when I try to duel with my step son.

No dev had a peek at multiplayer mode since 2.0 so I guess it's not working (and I think Mok explained that it would require a whole recoding...)

I am also getting the "opponent is out of cards and loses" message when attempting to play multi-player
no matter which version of Manalink 3.0 I install.
My main reason for playing is to battle both of my sons in multiplayer to see who can build the most dominant deck out of the cards available. I'm afraid I will have to go back to the 2000 card limited version
because that multi-player worked (most of the time),
and from what I have been able to find on this forum, no work is being done on the manalink multi-player component. Do most of you guys just play single player against the AI?

BTW, great job keeping this game going, it is still tops on my MTG list.

Re: Manalink update 28 January 2012 : Manalink 3.0

Postby gsoltwedel » 15 Mar 2012, 15:16

I have used the manalink gem icon to connect over my home LAN via tcp/ip connection to battle my registered opponenet (my son). The manalink.exe executable doesn't appear to have been modofied since 1/26/2005, so I presumed that the manalink.exe could not handled the over 2000 limition removed in Manalink 3.0.

As others have reported, I am able to connect, and start the game, but from "play first / draw first" option on, there appears to be no peer-to-peer communication, as both clients are offered the same "play first / draw first" choice, and then the game ends because it does not recognize the opponents deck and gives you a "win" becuase your opponent is out of cards. My sons & I build our own decks from the available pool in the deckbuilder.

Is there a mod or some other way I should be intitiating multiplayer to get a game to work?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions to get multiplayer to work under Manalink 3.0, as I would love to unleash the new Green Horde deck I have built on my boys!
